Main duties and responsibilities

  • To develop and shape complex engagements
  • Provide leadership at programme / engagement level for Arundel and client teams
  • Some element of business development based on experience

Skills & Experience

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Guide: 10+ years experience in a combination of consultancy and business
  • Degree, ideally in a numerate subject
  • Sector exposure should include one or more of those indicated
  • Evidence of having performed a team lead role either in line management or within a consulting organisation
  • A background in IT systems implementations/project delivery/project management
  • Understanding of business accounting, financial principles and how to create value
  • Definition, planning and/or delivery of strategic value creating business projects or transformation initiatives

For more senior candidates:

  • Business Development in a consultancy or outsourcing business

 

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience (some of):

  • Business case development and benefit delivery tracking
  • Strategic procurement
  • Involvement in structuring outsourcing deals (AO, BPO or IT)
  • Programme Management
  • Supply chain (manufacturing footprint, warehousing & logistics CoG modelling etc, supply chain planning, strategic procurement and inbound supply)
  • Commercial (product profitability analysis, range review and optimisation, space planning and assortment (for retail), portfolio simplification
  • Marketing brand and product marketing (market analysis and sizing, competitor analysis, planning for both traditional and online campaigns)
  • M&A, acquisition/deal process, synergy identification and capture, acquisition integration projects
  • Business and systems transformation (understanding of operating models, their purpose, design and implementation process, change management)

 

Essential personal qualities:

  • Good communicator, able to engage with and gain the confidence of clients
  • Structured, organised
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and under some pressure
  • Flexibility – able to turn his or her hand to many things
  • Willing to travel
  • Driven, entrepreneurial, commercially aware
  • Curious, must enjoy learning & problem solving, will need to be confident and determined
